Support from Law Enforcement Signals Strong Backing Ahead of June 24 Republican Primary
HUNTINGTON, NY – The Suffolk County Police Benevolent Association has officially endorsed Huntington Town Supervisor Ed Smyth in his bid for re-election in the upcoming Republican Primary on Tuesday, June 24.
In an endorsement letter sent to the campaign, the Suffolk County PBA cited Supervisor Smyth’s steadfast support of law enforcement and his ongoing commitment to public safety as reasons for backing his candidacy.
“The Suffolk County P.B.A. acknowledges and appreciates your unwavering support of our Law Enforcement Officers, who continue to risk their lives to keep the citizens of Suffolk County safe,” the letter reads. “Your leadership and commitment to public safety have earned our full support.”
Supervisor Smyth expressed his gratitude for the endorsement, stating:
“I’m honored to have the support of the Suffolk County PBA and the brave officers they represent. Public safety is the foundation of any strong community, and I will always stand with the men and women who protect our communities every day.”
